Who We Are

The Jake's Creative Community includes over 30 disciplines, but as you'll note from the short personal bios, our avocations nicely complement and complete our vocations!  We all have our day jobs…but we all have our personal interests, and passions after the day is over.  Certainly this opens up common ground for our members to get to know one another on more than just a business basis, but it also opens up the opportunity for our clients to benefit from business relationships that require multi-disciplinary problem solving

FILM-MAKING
Philip Leclerc, Leclerc Brothers Motion Pictures
Chris Leclerc, Leclerc Brothers Motion Pictures

Philip and Chris Leclerc are the co-owners of Leclerc Brothers Motion Pictures. In addition to creating national award winning commercials, they’ve produced several films some of which have received top prizes at the SAICFF including the Jubilee award. Whether it’s filming deadly sharks in the Galapagos Islands, film expeditions exploring the Amazon rainforest, or shooting with disaster relief teams in earthquake struck Haiti, their variety of production experience lends insight for aspiring filmmakers young and old. As owners of a rapidly growing film company, Philip and Chris work from their studio space in Sheboygan, Wisconsin where they’re currently producing the controversial film “Divided” which addresses a problem with the failure of youth ministry within the modern church. Richardson Chair

Jake’s Cafe Welcomes Joe Richardson II and Joe Richardson III.  When Joseph E. Richardson II joined the fifth generation family business, Richardson Brothers Company, in the early 1950's, they were Wisconsin's leading manufacturer of dining room seating. Joe II became president in 1962. His degree in economics from Beloit College was an asset as he began a long-range plan to diversify product and to distribute nationwide. Joe Richardson became famous for his national ads (produced by Jake Jacobson of Jacobson Advertising) which showed him proudly standing on an inverted dining room chair...a testimony to the quality of Richardson furniture. He became an effective leader of the industry beginning in 1984 with his election to the Board of Directors of the American Furniture Manufacturers Association. During the next decade, he served as president and chairman of AFMA. Joe Richardson II is a past trustee of the Jiranek School of Furniture Design and past executive committee member of the Home Furnishings Council during its formative years. His contributions and strengths as a founding director of the American Furniture Hall of Fame, president, and secretary treasurer were developed during his award-winning civic work in historic preservation of buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
