Erlien Wins Jake's Photo Contest
January 25th
Jon Erlien is the 2017 winner of the Jake's Cafe Photo Contest. He received a $1000 check for his photo titled "Passion". The winning entry was actually selected by Herbert V. Kohler and was used for his personal 2017 New Year's Card and Kohler Annual Report. Erliendesign.com.

As a speaker for TEC International, I had the opportunity to meet with business professionals throughout the United State and Canada. As my topic was branding, I always started each session with a simple question. "What is a brand?" The answers were all over the map. "Image, mark, product, logo, perception, identification, name, etc. The most common answer was that "brands were products". Hmmmm?

Jake’s Cafe will be launching a new website on September 13th! It was produced by one of our own members, Yeng Yang. Yeng is the 2016 recipient of Lakeshore Technical College’s “Dream Big Award”. In addition to serving a growing list of clients, Yeng has been working on the Jake’s Cafe website redesign since June.
