Why a Pollinator Workshop?

Because pollinators are important to our food system, and native pollinators are in serious decline with some on the brink of extinction.  In this workshop, learn a little pollinator biology as well as ways you can support and build pollinator habitat. All are welcome to join us and learn, from curious neighbors to the gardeners, farmers, or future naturalists, plant and insect ecologist Carrie Caselton Lowe, will have some tips you can use to help support pollinators by enhancing their habitat around your home and community.

The Nourish Pollinator 1 Workshop will begin with a presentation and education about pollinators in the RCS Empowers building (1607 Geele Avenue) at 10:00am.  After the presentation the group will walk across the street to the Educational Urban Farm for hands on learning and planting.

Learn what you can do and grow in your gardens, lawns, and larger properties to support pollinators.  Be prepared to leave with ideas specific to your own property, as well as how to support pollinators in your greater community.  We will have a few give-aways along with pollinator plants for purchase! Join us!
